Running Accomplishments:

I've been running for the past 25 years.  I ran my first marathon at age 50 and have run 3 since then.  I run 5K's, 10K's and half-marathons.   I ran the Ogden Marathon in 2006 and finished in 4:35.  I won Thrid Place in my age group.

Three of my daughters and I ran the Ogden Half Marathon.  They did great and I was glad to just finish.  I ran the Riverton 1/2 marathon the end of March and pulled my hamstring and then got bursitis so I wasn't able to train as much as I wanted to.

I have slowed down a lot the past 10 years so my goal now is to keep running slow and steady until I die.  I also ride bikes and am as fast as my daughters.

We have now switched from Marathons to 1/2 marathons and Triathlons.  Last year Leslie and I did the Desert Sharks Triathlon and Daybreak.  I won first in my age group in both because there are not many people in my age group.

2010  Riverton Half Marathon 3rd in age group

Daybreak Triahtlon 2010 1st in age group

South Jordan Half Marathon 2010 1st in my age group

Riverton 10K 2010 1st in my age group

Vikingman Triathlon September 10 2010  Won 1st in my age because I was the only one in my age group

March 2011 Riverton 1/2 Marathon 1st in my age group and there were actually 6 people in my age group.

Short-Term Running Goals:

My daughters and I are starting to train for Triathlons, but would still like to run 2 half-marathons and 5K's and 10K's

Long-Term Running Goals:

Personal:

My daughter Jenny was here from Idaho so we met the group at the SJ soccer fields at 6 am.  My foot hurt the first 1/2 mile so I started walking and told Jenny to go ahead.  Kris Bullock was walking too because she didn't feel well.  After about 1 minute I started jogging again and my foot didn't hurt after that.  I was very tired and slow it took me 31 minutes.  On the second time around we went backwards and when we got to 2700 from Rustic Road we turned around.  It was a good run and I was very tired. My wonderful daughter Leslie was supposed to join us, but she slept in and ran later. She seems to have wake up issues in the morning. Perhaps she needs 50 alarm clocks that all go off at the same time.Duke has a sore foot so he stayed home and cried at the door. We hope his foot feels better soon.  After dinner Leslie and I rode our bikes.  We went down redwood to 118th and then started up towards 2700.  It was sooo windy we could hardly pedal.  We turned around just before 2700 and headed back home.  That was the most windy bike ride I have ever taken.

wow, you were brave to even attempt the wind. I was going to run, but decided it would be more like a TM run if I tried :) Nice workout, and I hope Duke gets feeling better too! Lucy came with me again this morning - I was nearly dragging her the last 1.5 or so...until another dog decided to join our 'pack' and followed me home, then Lucy seemed to have all the energy in the world. The dog just ran right in our backyard with Lucy, so since he only had a county license I called animal control to come pick him up. Unfortunately, he was a repeat offender. The officer said it would be $150 for the owners to get him out of hawk this time. Felt SOO bad. Anyway, long story - sorry!
