Running Accomplishments:

I've been running for the past 25 years.  I ran my first marathon at age 50 and have run 3 since then.  I run 5K's, 10K's and half-marathons.   I ran the Ogden Marathon in 2006 and finished in 4:35.  I won Thrid Place in my age group.

Three of my daughters and I ran the Ogden Half Marathon.  They did great and I was glad to just finish.  I ran the Riverton 1/2 marathon the end of March and pulled my hamstring and then got bursitis so I wasn't able to train as much as I wanted to.

I have slowed down a lot the past 10 years so my goal now is to keep running slow and steady until I die.  I also ride bikes and am as fast as my daughters.

We have now switched from Marathons to 1/2 marathons and Triathlons.  Last year Leslie and I did the Desert Sharks Triathlon and Daybreak.  I won first in my age group in both because there are not many people in my age group.

2010  Riverton Half Marathon 3rd in age group

Daybreak Triahtlon 2010 1st in age group

South Jordan Half Marathon 2010 1st in my age group

Riverton 10K 2010 1st in my age group

Vikingman Triathlon September 10 2010  Won 1st in my age because I was the only one in my age group

March 2011 Riverton 1/2 Marathon 1st in my age group and there were actually 6 people in my age group.

Short-Term Running Goals:

My daughters and I are starting to train for Triathlons, but would still like to run 2 half-marathons and 5K's and 10K's

Long-Term Running Goals:

Personal:

After work and a short nap I used the spin bike for 30 minutes.  I got a good workout.

I had to be to work at 6am so I went early to Bingham for the early miles.  Kris was already there and out running.  Duke and I ran down 2200 almost to the light on 98th and then turned around and headed back to Bingham.  Kris was there, but now one else came so we headed back out to 2200 and then did the loop through the subdivision.  Then we came back and the others were there for the later miles, but I had to leave to get to work.

Met the group at the West Riverfront Park but since I didn't have to be to work until 7, I just went for the regular miles.  I only wanted to run 3 miles because my foot still has tendonitis and I want to make sure I can run Deans race on Saturday.  Only Cheris and Rachel came to the run.  We did a few rounds through the subdivision and then I had to leave.

I ran the Team Iron Dean 5K with Duke pulling me along.  It was quite chilly today but I was glad as soon as I started running.  There were about 500 people in the race.  They were not timing us or doing place finisher.  Duke and I started off early because he was very excited we had to cross an icy bridge to start the race and I didn't want to fall down.  As soon as we crossed the bridge the race started and Duke took off pulling me along.  I was very glad I was only doing a 5K because Duke pulled fast the whole time.  When we got to the finish my son ben was waiting there and was surprised how fast we finished.  Then we took Duke home and came back for the raffle.  We also got Jdawgs to eat and they were very good.  They raffled off a lot of prizes and Leslie won a gift card to Einstiens Bagels.  It was a nice race and I'm glad so many people came to support Dean.
