Running Accomplishments:

I've been running for the past 25 years.  I ran my first marathon at age 50 and have run 3 since then.  I run 5K's, 10K's and half-marathons.   I ran the Ogden Marathon in 2006 and finished in 4:35.  I won Thrid Place in my age group.

Three of my daughters and I ran the Ogden Half Marathon.  They did great and I was glad to just finish.  I ran the Riverton 1/2 marathon the end of March and pulled my hamstring and then got bursitis so I wasn't able to train as much as I wanted to.

I have slowed down a lot the past 10 years so my goal now is to keep running slow and steady until I die.  I also ride bikes and am as fast as my daughters.

We have now switched from Marathons to 1/2 marathons and Triathlons.  Last year Leslie and I did the Desert Sharks Triathlon and Daybreak.  I won first in my age group in both because there are not many people in my age group.

2010  Riverton Half Marathon 3rd in age group

Daybreak Triahtlon 2010 1st in age group

South Jordan Half Marathon 2010 1st in my age group

Riverton 10K 2010 1st in my age group

Vikingman Triathlon September 10 2010  Won 1st in my age because I was the only one in my age group

March 2011 Riverton 1/2 Marathon 1st in my age group and there were actually 6 people in my age group.

Short-Term Running Goals:

My daughters and I are starting to train for Triathlons, but would still like to run 2 half-marathons and 5K's and 10K's

Long-Term Running Goals:

Personal:

After work and a short nap I rode my bike my usual 6 mile course.  The wind was blowing very hard and it felt like the whole ride was up hill.  It took me 26 minutes instead of 22.  I got a very good workout.  I sure hope the wind isn't blowing on Saturday when I do my Goldilocks ride.

Went early to the BBK run so Duke and I could run a mile before the others got there.  I had to be to work a 6am but wanted to run 3.  My foot didn't hurt much and it didn't hurt the rest of the day.

After work and a short nap I rode my bike on my 6 mile course.  The wind wasn't blowing and it was much easier.  I did it in just under 22 minutes.  Then I did my arm weight exercises, got groceries, had dinner and then went with my husband to Leslie's house to help install some cabinets.  Now I am taking a rest for the rest of the night.

I didn't have time to meet the group because they were meeting too far away so Duke and I ran down to Redwood and up to 106th and back at 5am.

Shannon, Loretta and I did the Goldilocks bike ride.  We were signed up for the 60 mile, but Shannon didn't want to go the whole way so we rode with Loretta as far as Camp Williams and then turned around.  It was perfect weather for a bike ride and we had a nice time.  Shannon and I did 43 miles and then we sat on the grass and ate our lunch while we waited for Loretta.  Shannon decided that I should just take her car home and she would wait for Loretta.  I came home, showered and had a nap before Shannon got here.  I saw two people I knew on the ride.  I saw Lisa Dudley in the parking lot when I was leaving to go home and Vanessa Housel at the rest stop on 27th.  I really enjoyed the ride and didn't get too tired.
