Running Accomplishments:

I've been running for the past 25 years.  I ran my first marathon at age 50 and have run 3 since then.  I run 5K's, 10K's and half-marathons.   I ran the Ogden Marathon in 2006 and finished in 4:35.  I won Thrid Place in my age group.

Three of my daughters and I ran the Ogden Half Marathon.  They did great and I was glad to just finish.  I ran the Riverton 1/2 marathon the end of March and pulled my hamstring and then got bursitis so I wasn't able to train as much as I wanted to.

I have slowed down a lot the past 10 years so my goal now is to keep running slow and steady until I die.  I also ride bikes and am as fast as my daughters.

We have now switched from Marathons to 1/2 marathons and Triathlons.  Last year Leslie and I did the Desert Sharks Triathlon and Daybreak.  I won first in my age group in both because there are not many people in my age group.

2010  Riverton Half Marathon 3rd in age group

Daybreak Triahtlon 2010 1st in age group

South Jordan Half Marathon 2010 1st in my age group

Riverton 10K 2010 1st in my age group

Vikingman Triathlon September 10 2010  Won 1st in my age because I was the only one in my age group

March 2011 Riverton 1/2 Marathon 1st in my age group and there were actually 6 people in my age group.

Short-Term Running Goals:

My daughters and I are starting to train for Triathlons, but would still like to run 2 half-marathons and 5K's and 10K's

Long-Term Running Goals:

Personal:

Duke and I went early for the early miles to make sure I could get in 3 miles before I had to be to work at 6am.  We ran up and down the street in front of Mike's house.  Then Mike came out and Walter and Michell C. came.  We started off and then Michelle M came and we slowed down so she could catch up.  We ran through the subdivision and out to redwood and then back through the subdivision and back to Mike's.  Then I had to leave.  It was a good run.

I didn't have time to meet the group before work so I took Duke and ran my route up Redwood Road to 106th and back.  After work and a short nap I did my leg weight/ stomach exercises.

I ran a quarter of a mile with Duke this morning and then I met the group at Michelle M's house.  We ran the course that goes south on 13th and then east and then north and then east again to the parkway trail going north to 98th.  I didn't see the group when they got on the trail but I didn't want to run the trail alone so I just stayed on the parkway road and ran to 106th and then west to the street by Harmon's.  Then I turned south past the library and then east and back out to 13th west and back to Michelle's.  I cut the run short by about 1.5 miles but I thought the group would be back at any time so I ran up and down the street in front of Michelle's street but didn't see anyone from the group coming so I went home.  Leslie was going to meet me to run another 4 miles but she didn't call so I called her at 8:30 and woke her up.  I decided to let her sleep.  It ended up being a little colder than I thought because of the wind blowing so I was glad to have a hot bath and warm up.
