Running Accomplishments:

I've been running for the past 25 years.  I ran my first marathon at age 50 and have run 3 since then.  I run 5K's, 10K's and half-marathons.   I ran the Ogden Marathon in 2006 and finished in 4:35.  I won Thrid Place in my age group.

Three of my daughters and I ran the Ogden Half Marathon.  They did great and I was glad to just finish.  I ran the Riverton 1/2 marathon the end of March and pulled my hamstring and then got bursitis so I wasn't able to train as much as I wanted to.

I have slowed down a lot the past 10 years so my goal now is to keep running slow and steady until I die.  I also ride bikes and am as fast as my daughters.

We have now switched from Marathons to 1/2 marathons and Triathlons.  Last year Leslie and I did the Desert Sharks Triathlon and Daybreak.  I won first in my age group in both because there are not many people in my age group.

2010  Riverton Half Marathon 3rd in age group

Daybreak Triahtlon 2010 1st in age group

South Jordan Half Marathon 2010 1st in my age group

Riverton 10K 2010 1st in my age group

Vikingman Triathlon September 10 2010  Won 1st in my age because I was the only one in my age group

March 2011 Riverton 1/2 Marathon 1st in my age group and there were actually 6 people in my age group.

Short-Term Running Goals:

My daughters and I are starting to train for Triathlons, but would still like to run 2 half-marathons and 5K's and 10K's

Long-Term Running Goals:

Personal:

We arrived at Warm Springs resort on Thursday afternoon  with all our family and spent an hour walking around looking at the cabins, pavillion and amphitheatre.  Then we walked down to the pond and used the paddle boats and kayaks.  We made dinner and then walked back to the ponds and used the boats again and then walked backed to the cabins.  Then we had skits and made smores.  Then we walked around and visited everyone at their cabins.    Friday morning after breakfast we cleaned up, did crafts and games and then walked back to the ponds.  We used the paddle boats and then had kayak races.  Then we had lunch, took naps and walked back to the ponds and used the boats again.  Then we walked back to the cabins and played kick ball.  Then we had dinner.  After dinner Leslie and I took several of the kids on a hike.  Then we had family night and visited a while and then played laser tag.  Then we went to bed.  Most of us thought that the kayaks and paddle boats were the funnest part of the outing.  While I was using the kayak with one of my grandsons on my lap my son was playing around and pushing  us with his kayak and mine rolled over.  Luckily my grandson and I had our life jackets on.  I grabbed him and swam to shore holding him, the kayak and paddle.  I didn't think the water was that deep, but it was over my head.  My grandson is only 3 but he isn't afraid of the water at all.  We had a very fun time but we are all very tired.   Saturday morning we ate breakfast and cleaned the place up and headed home.  I really enjoyed spending a couple of days with all my kids, son-in-laws, husband and grandkids.
