Running Accomplishments:

I've been running for the past 25 years.  I ran my first marathon at age 50 and have run 3 since then.  I run 5K's, 10K's and half-marathons.   I ran the Ogden Marathon in 2006 and finished in 4:35.  I won Thrid Place in my age group.

Three of my daughters and I ran the Ogden Half Marathon.  They did great and I was glad to just finish.  I ran the Riverton 1/2 marathon the end of March and pulled my hamstring and then got bursitis so I wasn't able to train as much as I wanted to.

I have slowed down a lot the past 10 years so my goal now is to keep running slow and steady until I die.  I also ride bikes and am as fast as my daughters.

We have now switched from Marathons to 1/2 marathons and Triathlons.  Last year Leslie and I did the Desert Sharks Triathlon and Daybreak.  I won first in my age group in both because there are not many people in my age group.

2010  Riverton Half Marathon 3rd in age group

Daybreak Triahtlon 2010 1st in age group

South Jordan Half Marathon 2010 1st in my age group

Riverton 10K 2010 1st in my age group

Vikingman Triathlon September 10 2010  Won 1st in my age because I was the only one in my age group

March 2011 Riverton 1/2 Marathon 1st in my age group and there were actually 6 people in my age group.

Short-Term Running Goals:

My daughters and I are starting to train for Triathlons, but would still like to run 2 half-marathons and 5K's and 10K's

Long-Term Running Goals:

Personal:

I had to go to work this morning.  It was hard to go back after having the summer off.  After work I did my leg weight and stomach exercises along with 75 pushups.  Leslie and I ordered wet suits and they came today so after dinner we went to Day Break Lake to try them out.  You really aren't suppose to swim there but you can wade.  The wet suits make it so you can float easy and they really keep you warm.  We didn't swim much but it was fun  to try them out.

I met the group at Parkway Palisades for the early miles.  It was cool this morning and the run seemed easier for me than it has in a month.  I only stayed 20 minutes for the second part of the workout because I had to be to work.  After work Kent and I are going to Fish Lake to stay at our frined's cabin.

Kent and I just got back from Fish Lake.  The only exercise I got was each night after dinner we walked with our friends up and down the hills surrounding their cabin.  The walk was about 1 mile so it wasn't too hard but we did see Deer, pinetrees, quakies, the lake and lots of other cabins.  We really had a fun time fishing(our friends have a boat and took us out each day), visiting, eating and watching movies.  Tomorrow I need to get back to real exercise.

After breakfast Duke and I jogged around the block.  I felt good after and I know Duke had a good time.  After I cleaned Becca(my daughter)  and I drove to Tooele to spend some time with my 9 grandchildren that live there.  My daughter was gone to take her husband to get and MRI so I didn't see them.  We had a fun time visiting and watching the movie "17 Again."  Then I came home, took a short nap and went to cub scouts.  After cub scouts I bottle pears, cleaned and then Kent and I went to dinner.  Tonight I am watching a movie with Becca.

This morning I jogged 4 miles with Duke.  We jogged around the 4 mile block and I made it in 32 minutes.  Then Leslie and I went to our swim Clinic at Blackcreek Reservoir.  It was a good clinic and It will really help for our Triathlon.  We swam around quite a bit.
