Running Accomplishments:

I've been running for the past 25 years.  I ran my first marathon at age 50 and have run 3 since then.  I run 5K's, 10K's and half-marathons.   I ran the Ogden Marathon in 2006 and finished in 4:35.  I won Thrid Place in my age group.

Three of my daughters and I ran the Ogden Half Marathon.  They did great and I was glad to just finish.  I ran the Riverton 1/2 marathon the end of March and pulled my hamstring and then got bursitis so I wasn't able to train as much as I wanted to.

I have slowed down a lot the past 10 years so my goal now is to keep running slow and steady until I die.  I also ride bikes and am as fast as my daughters.

We have now switched from Marathons to 1/2 marathons and Triathlons.  Last year Leslie and I did the Desert Sharks Triathlon and Daybreak.  I won first in my age group in both because there are not many people in my age group.

2010  Riverton Half Marathon 3rd in age group

Daybreak Triahtlon 2010 1st in age group

South Jordan Half Marathon 2010 1st in my age group

Riverton 10K 2010 1st in my age group

Vikingman Triathlon September 10 2010  Won 1st in my age because I was the only one in my age group

March 2011 Riverton 1/2 Marathon 1st in my age group and there were actually 6 people in my age group.

Short-Term Running Goals:

My daughters and I are starting to train for Triathlons, but would still like to run 2 half-marathons and 5K's and 10K's

Long-Term Running Goals:

Personal:

I did my leg weight exercises along with my stomach and pushups.  Then I weeded.  Then I did Becca's P90X exercise video with her.  Then I cleaned and got groceries.  I took a nap did indexing and then cleaned some more.  After dinner Leslie, Ben, Becca and I went to Day Break Lake and swam.  It was pretty fun.  Leslie and I decided we need to swim there once a week to get ready for the Day Break Triathlon.

Met the BBK's at the track.  The first time around the track my foot started hurting.  I was hoping it was just in my head and would be better today.  I mostly walked around the track the whole hour.  About every 3rd time around I tried to run.  If I held my foot a certain way it didn't hurt, but then my knee would start hurting.  After I got home I ate breakfast, cleaned up and went to the temple.  When I got back, I did the P90X exercise video with Becca.  It really gives you a good workout.

I definately got enough exercise today.  This morning I met our Bunners and only Michelle, Ken and I came.  Ken led us on a 17 mile course around the prison.  It was a little tiring on the hills, but I wasn't too far behind Michelle and Ken.  I'm sure Ken went slow for us.  After breakfast I did the P90X video with Becca.  Today was arms and abs and it was a killer.  Then I spent 4 hours doing a good clean on my living room.  I took down the drapes and cleaned them. cleaned the windows, scrubed the walls,  cleaned the furniture and vacuumed.  I was too tired to clean the carpet so I will do that tomorow.  After dinner Leslie and I went to our Triathlon class.  We swam 500 meters and then we biked 10 miles.  The other people were running too but we decided not to run.

Today since I couldn't run I rode my bike to the church on 98th and 2200 where the running group was meeting.  Then I rode up 9800 past the Glenmoore Golfcourse up to the park.  When I got to the park I rode around it about 5 times until the runners got there.  Then I rode around a couple of more times.  When they were ready to head back I told them goodbye and rode home fast.  The ride up was all uphill so I got plenty of exercise and the ride back was downhill and was very easy.  Peggy and Cheryl were both gone so Michelle M took charge.  I think she enjoyed being in charge.  After breakfast I did the P90X video with Becca.  Today we did the leg exercises.  It was a very good workout.

Becca and I did our P90X video.  Today was cardio.  It was mostly boxing moves.  The workout lasted for an hour.  It got me tired but not as tired as running.  After breakfast I took Duke for a walk and cleaned the house.  After lunch and a nap Kent and I went to the temple and then we met Leslie at Sizzler for dinner.  The dinner was very good.

I didn't get as much exercise today as I would have liked to get.  Leslie ran here from her house and picked up Duke.  I rode my bike around while she ran the 4 mile block with Duke.  When she was done running we were going to do the prison loop course on our bikes.  We started out and turned east on 126th and just as we were getting to the top on the other side of the river bottom, Leslie ran over a piece of metal and popped her tire.  Then we pulled over to the side and waited for Kent to rescue us.  Leslie and I were going to swim at Day Break Lake, but we got too busy doing other things and didn't make it.  I ended up riding my bike a total of about 8 miles and it wasn't a very hard ride.  Tuesday I will try to run again and I sure hope my foot is better.
