Running Accomplishments:

I've been running for the past 25 years.  I ran my first marathon at age 50 and have run 3 since then.  I run 5K's, 10K's and half-marathons.   I ran the Ogden Marathon in 2006 and finished in 4:35.  I won Thrid Place in my age group.

Three of my daughters and I ran the Ogden Half Marathon.  They did great and I was glad to just finish.  I ran the Riverton 1/2 marathon the end of March and pulled my hamstring and then got bursitis so I wasn't able to train as much as I wanted to.

I have slowed down a lot the past 10 years so my goal now is to keep running slow and steady until I die.  I also ride bikes and am as fast as my daughters.

We have now switched from Marathons to 1/2 marathons and Triathlons.  Last year Leslie and I did the Desert Sharks Triathlon and Daybreak.  I won first in my age group in both because there are not many people in my age group.

2010  Riverton Half Marathon 3rd in age group

Daybreak Triahtlon 2010 1st in age group

South Jordan Half Marathon 2010 1st in my age group

Riverton 10K 2010 1st in my age group

Vikingman Triathlon September 10 2010  Won 1st in my age because I was the only one in my age group

March 2011 Riverton 1/2 Marathon 1st in my age group and there were actually 6 people in my age group.

Short-Term Running Goals:

My daughters and I are starting to train for Triathlons, but would still like to run 2 half-marathons and 5K's and 10K's

2010

Riverton 1/2 Marathon  3rd in age

Daybreak Triathlon 1st in age

Riverton 10K

Hobblecreek 1/2 Marathon

Vikingman Triathlon

MS 100 Mile Bike ride finished in 7 hours

2016

Terrain Run with son and daughter.  It was fun but very muddy

August 25 Triathamom with my daugter Christine

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running, biking, swimming and stay fit until I'm 100 years old

Personal:

I'm married, have 8 kids (7 daughters and one son) and 28 grandkids. I have a great supportive husband.  The grandsons and grand daughters are now tied at 14.  I have 2 grand daughters married and one going on a mission to Australia.

I rode my bike on my 6 mile course.  I rode down 114th to the river bottoms and then turned south and went up the hill by the church and then went south on Lampton to Sirmingo. Then I went east to 13th west and south to 126th and then west to redwood and then north back to 114th.  I rode as fast as I could and got a good workout.

I only did my 6 mile bike course because I needed to babysit for my youngest daughter at 8:30.  I had fun tending Sicily and Vivian while Bridget took Deklan to his kindergarten testing.

I met the group at the church on 102nd and 40th west.  We ran west on 102nd and then turned north on Yorkshire and ran to Sky Drive.  We then went west to 4800 and then turned around and headed back.  It was a good run.

I took Duke on a short walk and then I went to the RUNGR8 run.  I ran the 3 mile course with my grandson Caleb.  We kept a good steady pace.  When he got tired and had to walk I ran ahead and then came back.  We ran it 2 minutes faster than last week.  I think going to a chiropractor has helped my dragging leg a little bit.

I met the group at the church up the street from my house.  We ran through the subdivision.  Then I kept going north on 3200 until I got to 106th.  Then I turned west and ran to America First Credit Union and then turned south and ran to 114th and then east back to the church.  The rest of the group was there and we ran up and down the first street one more time.  It was a good workout.

I took Duke on a short run and then me the group at the church on 102nd and 40th west.  We ran south on 40th west to 114th.  Then they went west to daybreak and I turned around and headed back.  When I got back I ran west on 102nd to Yorkshire and then back.  When I got back Cheris and Michelle were there so I visited with them before I headed home.  Tomorrow I am doing the Triathamom with one of my daughters.

My daughter and I did the Triathamom Triathlon this morning at the South County Pool.  On the first lap of the swim my ankle timer came off.   I had to stop and search for it. Luckily someone behind me found it and handed it to me.  I tried to put it on but couldn't because I was in deep water so I swam the rest of the race with it in my hand.  I didn't do as well on the swim as I would have liked to but I went fast on my bike.  I caught up with my daughtere and beat her by 10 minutes.  She caught up with me on the run and beat me by 10 minutes.  It was fun and I think I got a lot of exercise.

Duke and I ran down 114th to the Park by Lifetime fitness to meet the group.  Julie was there and so was Kris.  We ran around the park for a few minutes until the others got there then we ran south and they ran over to the parkway trail and Duke and I headed back up 114th home so I could get ready for work.  Duke really enjoyed the run.  I can't believe that summer is already over.

I took Duke on a short run and then I met the group at the SJ soccer fields.  We ran the 5K course.  I started off early and finished when they were starting their second time around.  I just ran south on 2200 and ran almost to 114th and then turned around and headed back.  This will be the last time for a while that I can go to the regular miles because I start bck to work on Tuesday.

I rode my bike on my 6 mile ride and then I did a watered down version of my leg weight/ stomach exercises and pushups.  My chest is starting to feel better from my car accident so It did not hurt too much.

I ran 1 mile with Duke before work.  After work and a short nap I did a watered down verson of my arm weight exercises.  I only used 2lb weights and did only 2 reps.  I think my back and chest are well enough the each week I can add more weight and reps.
